Shinkai Transport Systems, Ltd. is a specialized logistics company in the field of precision equipment. We provide one-stop logistics services such as transportation, cargo handling, packing, warehousing, customs clearance, and international logistics. Other services include contracted manufacturing in warehouses, kitting, packaging design, telecommunications work, and delivery and installation in special specific locations . We support our customers in solving their precision equipment supply chain issues with over 100 years of experience and a network of approximately 80 locations in Japan and 2 overseas affiliated companies in Thailand and Vietnam. We provide the same high-quality services overseas as we do in Japan. In 2018, we joined the GFA in order to learn about global CO2 reduction trends and apply them to our CO2 reduction efforts. Currently we are certified under GFA Label Leaf 1 in 2018.
To reduce greenhouse gas emissions, we are in the process of switching to fuel-efficient, low-emission vehicles. At present, 65% of our fleet has been switched to hybrid or certified low-emission vehicles.

Furthermore, we are working to improve fuel efficiency and transportation efficiency. We propose packaging designs depending on the transportation conditions of our customers' cargo to increase loading efficiency and reduce the weight of packaging materials.
This was successfully achieved when we proposed a change in packaging from wooden crate to reinforced carboard boxes. One of our customers had problems with wooden crate packaging in terms of material costs, packing time, special vehicle arrangements, loading/unloading plans, and waste material disposal. After discussions with the customer, we changed the packaging specifications of the product, which used to be packed in wooden crates, to reinforced cardboard boxes to reduce the cost of packaging materials and transportation. The actual packing time was cut in half or less by simplifying the packing process, moreover, we standardized the size of boxes to improve loading efficiency in trucks. This reduced overall costs and working time by approximately 20% and improved environmental outcomes, which were highly appreciated by our customer.

As corrugated cardboard packing may not be suitable for all customers, we offer the best packaging specifications and transportation methods to meet your cargo and shipping conditions.
We are also actively working on the SDGs, finding out what each of us can do.
One of our efforts is switching cushioning materials from conventional petroleum products (such as Styrofoam) to environmentally friendly materials (paper and cardboard) in order to reduce the use of plastics.
