Collaborative Continuous Logistics

The fragmented logistics industry in Singapore is facing significant challenges to use existing single enterprise-centric solutions to meet the changing consumer demands under resource constraints and inefficiencies. In this presentation, we will explore how to leverage on latest AI technologies to realise collaborative continuous logistics, which enables large-scale job pooling, matching and optimisation among multi-enterprises to achieve sustainable and efficient operations.

 
 

About the speaker

Dr Xu Chi received his B.Eng. (Hons) and Ph.D from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. Currently he is the Group Manager of Smart Urban Logistics Group in Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech), Agency for Science, Technology and Research’s (A*STAR). He has developed various logistics management and supply chain track and trace technologies, which have been licensed to many SMEs, LLEs, and MNCs in different industries such as logistics & transportation, aerospace, construction and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).

The presentation will delve into the green development policies and achievements within China’s trucking sector. It will highlight the pivotal role of policies in driving down diesel trucks’ emissions and fostering the adoption of electric trucks. Additionally, it will explore the adaptability of electric trucks to meet industry demands and the responses of logistics firms to this emerging technology.

 
 

About the Speaker

Huihui Cheng is the transport program manager at Clean Air Asia’s China office. She leads and advances the transport programs at the China office, while also supporting regional initiatives.

Huihui is focused on reducing emissions from diesel trucks and facilitating the energy transition in the trucking and shipping industries. She graduated from Johns Hopkins University-Nanjing University Centre for Chinese and American Studies concentrating on Energy, Resources, and Environment.
