Maersk’s journey towards net zero 2040 ambition and its roadmap in Mekong countries

Maersk aims for net zero emissions by 2040, advancing its goal by a decade. The strategy includes a 96% absolute reduction in total Scopes 1 and 2 emissions and a 90% absolute reduction in total Scope 3 emissions by 2040. In order to meet these targets, Maersk has been putting its efforts towards decarbonization through sustainable transport solutions, optimising routes, and collaborating with local stakeholders to drive the transition to greener and more efficient logistics in the region.

 
 

About the speaker

Thuy Nguyen is the Area Environment, Sustainability & Quality Manager of Maersk Logistics and Services in Mekong countries encompassing Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, and Myanmar. She is an accomplished professional with a strong background and over 15 years of experience in sustainability, HSSEQ, and compliance management. In her current role at Maersk, she has been driving the sustainable energy transitions roadmap in Logistics and Services across the Mekong region.
