On November 11, 2014, a group of multi-national, and local organizations met at Singapore Management University for GFA's bi-annual meeting. Participants comprised logistics companies, manufacturers from different industries, as well as academia, associations, and NGOs. They came from various Asia-Pacific countries, such as Singapore, China, India, and Thailand, as well as from Europe and the US.

The theme of the GFA meeting was ‘GFA Label ‘launched’ - What’s next?’

Among points discussed were:

- GFA and its positioning among other initiatives globally and updates from Green Freight Europe and the GFE Label;

- insights into the GFA Label

- GFA's 3rd party certification partners shared findings from the soft launch of the GFA Label which involved 28 companies that participated in this process;

- details of the Soft Launch review and planned launch of the GFA Label, which is planned for early 2015.

The GFA meeting marked another important milestone on GFA’s path to implement the Green Freight Asia Label to, in turn, achieve greener freight practices in Asia Pacific.
